About the band

    Formed in 2003, "The Jefferson County Bluegrass Band brings together some of the most accomplished veterans of bluegrass music". (Southern Wisconsin Bluegrass Music Association newsletter) Firmly footed in the basic structures, techniques and traditions of bluegrass music, they bring to it their own unique sound. 
   All members are accomplished singers and share the duties. Solid musicianship and tight harmonies have been the source for the bands success. The Jefferson County Bluegrass Band performs at fairs, bluegrass festivals, performing art centers, community Festivals, Churches, Gospel music events, Concerts in the park, special events and celebrations throughout the Midwest.

    If your a bluegrass music fan, you will truely enjoy the Jefferson County Bluegrass Band and will not soon forget their performance. They are said to be, "one of the busiest working bands from Southern Wisconsin".

    The Jefferson County Bluegrass band has been like " a snowball rolling down hill" as of late. When we started this band, we just had one thing in mind. Playing some of the best bluegrass music we could. We work very hard to do that. We spend countless hours working on our music, promotions, etc. to make it right. We all have a deep devotion to the band and bluegrass music. It's in our hearts and souls.

    We have plans on going into the studio to record as soon as we can find the time and decide on what material we want to include. Hopfully it will be this year. So, be watching for a CD.

    We have come to the point where we are starting to book jobs six months to a year in  advance. There are  many  oppourtunities that we have to turn down because of that. We would like to play them all but cannot. So, if you would like to book the band, please get in touch with us as soon as you know the details about your event.
